R134a is an excellent refrigerant, used in a wide range of applications and even as a component of many HFC blends on the market. It allows to work at lower pressures than the rest of HFC gases and is an extremely energy efficient product at positive and medium temperatures.

R134a is a refrigerant which does not deplete the ozone layer (ODP = 0), and is therefore not subject to phase-out regulations (except in mobile air conditioning).

It has a high critical temperature, which ensures a good coefficient of performance, especially at high condensing temperatures in air-cooled systems.
